We seat the joint. We do not teach the motion.
People climb the Dauphin stairs hoping a new sleeve setting will straighten a fade. Sometimes the sleeve was walking and the fade was a loose face. Sometimes the sleeve was honest and the fade is still a lesson. We will tell you which one we can touch.
What we will do
Hardware that clicks, swells, or ovaled
- Measure a bore and say if it is still round
- Reseat an adapter and recollar a swollen ferrule
- Refuse a pour when the wall is gone
- Send you back to the person who already teaches you
What we will not do
No net, no camera, no “try it on the mat”
There is no hitting space in Suite 4. The lathe and the cabinet take the floor. We will not watch you swing in the alley. We will not “verify” a sleeve with a launch number borrowed from a big-box monitor. If your teaching pro wants the torque number, it is on the ticket.
Working with a pro
Bring a note, not a demand for notches
If your instructor asked for a specific adapter stack or a ferrule height, write it down. We can match a stack. We will not chase a flight change by chewing a bore. The pro still owns the lesson. We own the chloride and the film.
